Perm rescue teams trainings in the cave

The Tyomnaya (Dark) Cave in Gubakha became a training location for 7 teams of regional rescuers, including a group of 14 participants from Perm City Emergency Service led by Nikolay Pyankov.  

The Perm team joined the training progamme on “Interaction of emergency services in extreme natural conditions including the rescue activities in extreme conditions of technogenic disasters, involving rescue from debris”.  They had to look at a variety of tasks such as organizing lifesaving under certain natural conditions and weather situation, checking proper individual and collective protection equipment, assessing theoretical knowledge and practical skills of participants.

The Perm rescue team results were assessed as successful which means that the Perm rescuers are properly prepared for doing their job under extreme conditions, such as rescue work in underground networks. 

For information:  Perm City Emergence Service was created in 1998, with present staff of   153. They do search and rescue works in emergency situations, provide education in the issues of protecting people and territories, save people’s lives in case of heath damage danger and provide first aid, as well as interact and exchange information with other local emergency services. On top of that, in summer months they monitor safety on water both at organized and spontaneous recreation sites.
